THE ARRIVAL OF THE SONIC CUBES_
“In the beginning there was only darkness and silence in the void. Then the first beat rose from the face of the deep and arranged itself to the first rhythm. It started to cast its spell over the people. In a flash, electronic dance music started to spread and its continuous metamorphosis began. More and more got infected by mutations. The chain reaction caused by ever evolving beats became faster and the system began to crumble under the sheer pressure of the dancing crowds. In a desperate attempt to retain control over the global movement, the government engaged scientist worldwide to develop a technique to gather all traces of electronic music. A mysterious structure was build to lock up all electronic music – they called it SONIC CUBE.”
Ein Augen- und Ohrenschmaus vom Feinsten erwartet die Besucher des ‘Eristoff Tracks URBAN ART FORM FESTIVAL 2010 – presented by Electronic Beats’. Zum ersten Mal wird bei einem Festival in Österreich eine so genannte Timecode-Show im Vorfeld von einem riesigen Team Spezialisten produziert und designed. Die Besucher erwartet eine spektakuläre Show aus Visuals, Pyrotechnik und Lasershow gepaart mit Wasserelementen und einem riesigen LED Display das die Mainstage einhüllt. Die 15-Minütige Show bildet das Highlight des Festivals und wird musikalisch mit den besten Nummern der elektronischen Musikgeschichte untermalt – von Prodigy bis Fatboy Slim, La Roux, Pendulum, Stephan Bodzin, Kosheen, Alter Ego, Justice, Deadmau5 und vielen mehr.
‘Eristoff Tracks URBAN ART FORMS FESTIVAL – presented by Electronic Beats’ steht seit sechs Jahren für noch nie da gewesene technische Innovationen, gepaart mit feinster elektronischer Musik. 2010 umfasst das Bühnen- und Projektionsdesign einen so großen technischen Aufwand wie noch nie in der Geschichte des Festivals. In Zahlen und Worten bedeutet dies:

Wie auch in den vergangenen Jahren zeichnet sich das Team rund um Eye-Con für das Projektions- und Lichtdesign sowie die Rauminstallationen verantwortlich. 2010 neu dabei ist die Crew rund um Motionlab und Neon Golden, welche eine in Europa völlig neue Innovation – das so genannte Mapping – erstmals auf einem Großfestival umsetzen.
Mapping heißt: Raumbezogene 3D live Visuals. Der Raum selbst wird als Projektionsfläche betrachtet und an die Stelle von Screens treten modulare skulpturale Objekte welche mittels 3D-Mapping interaktiv bespielt werden können. Das interessante daran ist, dass der Betrachter die Möglichkeit hat die Perspektive zu wechseln und so mit dem Objekt zu interagieren. Im Vordergrund steht das Experiment mit dem Raum, Modul und Inhalt. Grundlage für diese Arbeit ist eine spezielle Software die das (scheinbar) unmögliche möglich macht.

Durch den unermüdlichen Einsatz der Bühnen- und Projektionsdesigner sowie VJs wird Jahr für Jahr eine elektrisierende Stimmung erzeugt, die sich auf die Festivalbesucher und deren Laune überträgt.
